A startup in the Silicon Valley ? 4 reason PRO
“In the Valley, the best companies, entrepreneurs and investors are all in one place. It feels like a campus. Everything you do, from the morning run to the coffee run, is a networking opportunity. Compare this to the fragmentation in Europe, where the next meeting is always a flight away, and you can see why things simply happen more slowly over there. Thirty languages and insufficiently fluent English slow things down even further.”

The Silicon Valley is indeed a hot
spot for young entrepreneurs. They are motivated by the success of Silicon Valley
“prototypes” like Facebook and Google and try to become as successful as they
are. Not only young companies, however, are tempted by the area around Palo
Alto, also big high-tech firms from the East Coast and Europe start moving
west.
You are asking why? The great
weather in California is not the only reason.
Here are five reasons why the
Silicon Valley is the perfect start up for your company.
The Community
In the Silicon Valley you have nearly
everywhere the possibility to hang out with people from your field of work. Not
only that most of them will talk about your ideas, they are also willing to
share theirs. You can hardly feel any rivalry although there are so many people
working for different companies who might are competitors. It feels like their
motto is “We’re all in this together”.
The Network
There are many people living and
working in the Silicon Valley who probably already have more experience in the
high-tech field than you have. They will definitely help you and point you in
the right direction. They share their experiences and give advice.
Distractions
When you are working on new
technologies, you might sometimes get routine-blinded. In such a case, it only
helps to get out of your usual surrounding and do something totally different.
Have a walk through the area, have a look at what others are doing, talk to
them and you will absolutely find your way back to the solution of your
problem.
Serendipity
In the Silicon Valley you never
know who you might run into next, when going into a bar or just grocery
shopping. It might be someone whose work you admire and you can immediately
start a conversation with this person. Through these conversations, you could
come up with new ideas or even a new job. You never know what is going to
happen next in the Silicon Valley.
